अच्युताच्युत हरे परमात्मन् राम कृष्ण पुरुषोत्तम विष्णो ।

वासुदेव भगवन्ननिरुद्ध श्रीपते शमय दुःखमशेषम् ॥ १॥

हे अटल प्रभु ! अटल सत्ता ! हरि ! सर्वोच्च स्व ! सुंदर श्री राम ! सांवले सलोने ( गहरे नील वर्ण ) कृष्ण ! सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुरुष ! सर्वव्यापी भगवान ! सभी को अपने में समाहित करने वाले ! सभी में निवास करने वाले ! छः आवश्यक तत्वों को धारण करने वाले भगवान ! अचल और निर्विघ्न भगवान ! देवी श्री के स्वामी ! आप हमारे सभी कष्टों और पीड़ाओं को दूर करें।।1।।

Oh, the seamless Lord, the constant Being, Hari, the supreme Self, the handsome Shri Rama, the dark-blue Krishna, the best Purusha, the all-pervading God, the One enveloping all and residing in all, Lord possessing the six essential characteristics, the steady and unobstructed Lord, the Lord of Goddess Shri, may You ward off all our sufferings and pains.1

विश्वमङ्गल विभो जगदीश नन्दनन्दन नृसिंह नरेन्द्र ।

मुक्तिदायक मुकुन्द मुरारे श्रीपते शमय दुःखमशेषम् ॥ २॥

हे सृष्टि के परम कल्याणकारी और मंगलकारी भगवान, सर्वव्यापी प्रभु , संसार के एकमात्र नियंता, नंदगोप के प्रिय पुत्र , नर -सिंह रूप धारण करने वाले भगवान, सबसे बड़ा पुरुष (अर्थात श्रीराम), मुक्ति प्रदान करने वाली सर्वोच्च सत्ता , मुकुंद, मुर के विनाशक, भगवान श्रीपति, आप हमारे सभी कष्टों और पीड़ाओं को दूर करें।।2।।

Oh, the most benevolent and auspicious Lord of the universe, the all-pervasive Being, the sole Controller of the world, the endearing child of Nandagopa, the Lord who took the descent of Man-lion form, the greatest Nara (i.e., ShriRama), the supreme Being who confers mukti, Mukunda, the destroyer of Mura, Lord Shripati, may You ward off all our sufferings and pains.2

रामचन्द्र रघुनायक देव दीननाथ दुरितक्षयकारिन् ।

यादवेद्र यदुभूषण यज्ञ श्रीपते शमय दुःखमशेषम् ॥ ३॥

हे रामचंद्र, रघु के परिवार के वंशज, सर्वशक्तिमान, एक परमेश्वर जिसके पास सभी गरीब और निराश्रित जन आते हैं, पापों को मिटाने वाले ईश्वर , सर्वोच्च सम्राट और यदु वंश के सुंदर अलंकरण (श्रृंगार) , यज्ञ के अवतार, भगवान श्रीपति, आप हमारे सभी दुखों और पीड़ाओं को दूर करें।।3।।

Oh Ramachandra, Scion of Raghu’s family, the Almighty, the one God approached by all the poor and destitute, the Lord who eradicates sins, the supreme Monarch and beautiful adornment of Yadu’s race, the embodiment of yajòa, Lord Shripati, may You ward off all our sufferings and pains.3

देवकीतनय दुःखदवाग्ने राधिकारमण रम्यसुमूर्ते ।

दुःखमोचन दयार्णवनाथ श्रीपते शमय दुःखमशेषम् ॥ ४॥

हे देवकी के पुत्र , दावाग्नि जो हमारे सभी दुखों को भस्म कर देती है , देवी राधा के प्रिय भगवान, मोहक और आकर्षक रूप के ईश्वर , आपत्तियों का नाश करने वाले , दया के सागर , अधिपति , श्रीपति , आप हमारे सभी कष्टों और पीड़ाओं को दूर करें।।4।।

गोपिकावदनचन्द्रचकोर नित्य निर्गुण निरञ्जन जिष्णो ।

पूर्णरूप जय शङ्कर सर्व श्रीपते शमय दुःखमशेषम् ॥ ५॥

हे प्रभु, श्रीपति , निर्गुण ( सत्वगुण , रजोगुण , तमोगुण से परे ) , निरंजन ( माया / मोह आदि से रहित ) , नित्य , शाश्वत प्रभु , सभी सीमित विशेषताओं से परे, कार्मिक बंधन के स्वामी, पूर्णरूप , विजयी प्रभु, अविनाशी और अमर  भगवान, विजय के अवतार, सभी के शुभचिंतक, सर्व-सहायक और सर्व-संज्ञेय ( सभी को पहचानने वाले ) भगवान, हे चकोर -पक्षी (संबंध में) गोपिकाओं के चंद्र-मुख, आप हमारे सभी दुखों और पीड़ाओं को दूर करें।।5।।

Oh, Lord, Shripati, the eternal Being, the One above all limiting characteristics, the Lord of Kaarmic bondage, the victorious Sovereign, the imperishable and undiminishing Lord, the embodiment of Victory, the Well-wisher of all, the all-supporting and all-cognising Lord, Oh Chakora-bird (in relation) to moon-faces of Gopikaas, may You ward off all our sufferings and pains.5

गोकुलेश गिरिधारण धीर यामुनाच्छतटखेलनवीर ।

नारदादिमुनिवन्दितपाद श्रीपते शमय दुःखमशेषम् ॥ ६॥

हे गोकुल के एक भगवान, जिन्होंने गोवर्धन पर्वत को ऊपर उठाया, साहसी भगवान, यमुना नदी के शुद्ध तट पर खड़े वीर योद्धा, भगवान श्रीपति, जिनके चरण नारद जैसे महान ऋषियों द्वारा पूजे जाते हैं, आप हमारे सभी दुखों और पीड़ाओं को दूर करें।।6।।

Oh, the one Lord of Gokul, the One who lifted up the Govardhan hill, the courageous Lord, the valorous warrior who sported on the pure banks of the river Yamuna, the Lord Shripati whose feet are adored by great sages like Narad, may You ward off all our sufferings and pains.6

द्वारकाधिप दुरन्तगुणाब्धे प्राणनाथ परिपूर्ण भवारे ।

ज्ञानगम्य गुणसागर ब्रह्मन् श्रीपते शमय दुःखमशेषम् ॥ ७॥

हे द्वारका के सम्राट, अथाह सागर के समान बहुतायत में सभी गुणों का भंडार, सभी आत्मों के एकमात्र स्वामी जो सर्वदा पूर्ण और परिपूर्ण हैं, संसार के विनाशक हैं, भगवान जो केवल सर्वोच्च ज्ञान द्वारा प्राप्य हैं , गुणों के सागर, सर्वोच्च ब्रह्म, भगवान श्रीपति, आप हमारे सभी दुखों और पीड़ाओं को दूर करें।।7।।

Oh, the Emperor of Dvarakaa, the repository of all merits in abundance like the unfathomable ocean, the sole Lord of all selfs the only One who is ever complete and full, the Destroyer of samsaara, the Lord who is attainable only through gyan (supreme wisdom), the ocean of virtues, the supreme Brahman, Lord Shripati, may You ward off all our sufferings and pains.7

दुष्टनिर्दलन देव दयालो पद्मनाभ धरणीधरधारिन् ।

रावणान्तक रमेश मुरारे श्रीपते शमय दुःखमशेषम् ॥ ८॥

हे भगवान श्रीपति, दुष्टों का नाश करने वाले , परम वैभव के स्वामी , दयालु भगवान, जिनकी नाभि से कमल (ब्रह्मा उत्पन्न हुए ), पृथ्वी को उठाने वाले प्रभु (महान वाराह के रूप में अपने अवतार के माध्यम से), धर्म के अवतार, रावण का वध करने वाले , देवी रमा ( लक्ष्मी ) के भगवान / स्वामी , मुर के शत्रु, आप हमारे सभी दुखों और पीड़ाओं को दूर करें।।8।।

Oh, Lord Shripati, the Vanquisher of the wicked, the supreme Being of great splendour, the merciful Lord, the One from whose Lotus-navel (sprang up Brahmaa), the Lord who lifted the earth (through his avataara as the Vaarah – great Boar), the embodiment of Dharma, the slayer of Raavana, Lord of Goddess Ramaa, the foe of Mura, may You ward off all our sufferings and pains.8

अच्युताष्टकमिदं रमणीयं निर्मितं भवभयं विनिहन्तुम् ।

यः पठेद्विषयवृत्तिनिवृत्तिर्जन्मदुःखमखिलं स जहाति ॥ ९॥

यह सुंदर अच्युताष्टक संसार के भय को दूर करने के लिए रचा गया है। जो कोई भी सांसारिक वस्तुओं से विरक्त होकर (मन) इस भजन को पढ़ता है, वह स्वयं को जन्म (और मृत्यु) के सभी दुखों से मुक्त कर लेता है।।9।।

Acyutaashtakmidam amaniyam

Nirmitam-Bhavbhayam Vinihantum

Yah Pathed-vishaya-vrittinivrittir-

janmaduckhamakhilam sa jahaati.9

This beautiful Acyutaashtaka is composed for the removal of the fear of samsaara. Whoever reads this hymn, with (a mind) detached from worldly objects, will relieve himself from all the afflictions of birth (and death).9
