श्रीराम भक्तों के सभी पापों को दूर करते हैं। श्री राम हमेशा अपने भक्तों को खुश करते हैं। वह अपने भक्तों के डर को दूर करते हैं।
Shri Ram removes all the sins of the devotees. Shri Ram always makes his devotees happy. He allays the fears of his devotees.
श्री रामाष्टकम्
॥ अथ रामाष्टकम् ॥
श्रीशिव उवाच
सुग्रीवमित्रं परमं पवित्रं सीताकलत्रं नवमेघगात्रम् ।
कारुण्यपात्रं शतपत्रनेत्रं श्रीरामचन्द्रं सततं नमामि ॥१॥
शिवजी बोले – सुग्रीव के मित्र , परम पावन , सीता के पति , मेघ के समान श्याम शरीर वाले , करुणा सिंधु और कमल के सदृश नेत्रों वाले श्री रामचंद्र को मैं निरंतर नमस्कार करता हूँ ।।1।।

Shriramchandram Sat-tam namami. 1
Shiva said, “I constantly salute Shri Ramachandra, a friend of Sugriva, His Holiness, the husband of Sita, with a dark body like a cloud, ocean of compassion and eyes like a lotus. 1।।
संसारसारं निगमप्रचारं धर्मावतारं हृतभूमिभारम् ।
सदाविकारं सुखसिन्धुसारं श्रीरामचद्रं सततं नमामि ॥२॥
इस संसार के सार , संसार सागर से भक्तों को पार करने वाले , वेदों का प्रचार करने वाले , धर्म के साक्षात अवतार , भू भार को हरण करने वाले ( पृथ्वी के भार को दूर करने वाले ) , अविकृत स्वरूप वाले ( सदैव विकारों से रहित ) और सुख के सर्वोत्तम सागर श्रीरामचन्द्र जी को मैं सदा नमस्कार करता हूँ ।।2।।

sadaavikaaram sukhsindhusaaram

I always salute Shri Ram Chandra Ji, the essence of this world, who help His devotees to cross the ocean of world i.e samsara , who preaches the Vedas, the true embodiment of religion, who removes the weight of the earth , who has an unperverted form (always free from disorders) and the best ocean of happiness. 2।।
लक्ष्मीविलासं जगतां निवासं लङ्काविनाशं भुवनप्रकाशम् ।
भूदेववासं शरदिन्दुहासं श्रीरामचन्द्रं सततं नमामि ॥३॥
लक्ष्मी के साथ विलास करने वाले , जगत के निवास स्थान , लंका के संहारक और जगत को प्रकाशित करने वाले हैं । भुवनों ( लोकों ) को प्रकाशित करने वाले , ब्राह्मणों को शरण देने वाले और शरद ऋतु के चन्द्रमा के समान हंसने वाले श्री रामचंद्र को मैं सदैव नमस्कार करता हूं।।।।3।।
Lakshmivilaasam jagtaam nivaasam
lankavinaasham bhuvanprakasham
bhoodev vaasam sharadinduhaasam
Shriramchandram Sat-tam namami.3
Who enjoys with Mother Lakshmi, dwelling place of the world, the destroyer of Lanka and the illuminator of the worlds. I always salute those Ramachandras who dwell in the gods of the earth i.e brahmins and smile like the autumn moon.3
मन्दारमालं वचने रसालं गुणैर्विशालं हतसप्ततालम् ।
क्रव्यादकालं सुरलोकपालं श्रीरामचन्द्रं सततं नमामि ॥४॥
मंदार की माला धारण करने वाले , रसीले वचन बोलने वाले , गुणों में महान , सात ताल वृक्षों का भेदन करने वाले , राक्षसों के काल तथा देवलोक के पालक श्री रामचंद्र को मैं सदा नमस्कार करता हूँ ।।4।।

gunairvishaalam hatsapt-taalam
kravyaadkaalam surlokpaalam
Shriramchandram Sat-tam namami.4
I always bow down to Shri Ramachandra, who wears the garland of mandar, speaks succulent words, who is great in qualities, who pierces seven pond trees, who penetrates the seven pond trees, who is the guardian of demons and devlok.4
वेदान्तगानं सकलैः समानं हृतारिमानं त्रिदशप्रधानम् ।
गजेन्द्रयानं विगतावसानं श्रीरामचन्द्रं सततं नमामि ॥५॥
वेदांत के गेय ( वेद / वेदांत जिनका गान करते हैं ) , सबके साथ समान बर्ताव करने वाले , शत्रु के मान का मर्दन करने वाले , गजेंद्र की सवारी करने वाले तथा अंतरहित श्री रामचंद्र जी को मैं सतत नमस्कार करता हूँ ।।5।।
vedaantgaanam saklaih samaanam
hritaarimaanam tridashpradhaanam
gajendrayaanam vigtaavasaanam
shriramchandram sat-tam namami .4
I constantly salute Shri Ramchandra ji, who is sung by Vedanta / Vedas) , who treats everyone equally, who breaks the enemy’s pride , rides Gajendra and is inherently inherent. 5।।
श्यामाभिरामं नयनाभिरामं गुणाभिरामं वचनाभिरामम् ।
विश्वप्रणामं कृतभक्तकामं श्रीरामचन्द्रं सततं नमामि ॥६॥
श्यामरूप से मनोहर , नयनों से मनोहर , गुणों से मनोहर , ह्रदय ग्राही वचन बोलने वाले , विश्ववंदनीय और भक्तजनों की कामनाओं को पूरी करने वाले श्री रामचंद्र को मैं निरंतर प्रणाम करता हूँ ।।6।।
I constantly bow down to Shri Ramachandra, who is beautiful in the form of a beautiful person, who is beautiful with qualities, who speaks heart-warming words, who is universally respected and fulfills the wishes of the devotees. 6।।
shyamaabhiraamam nayanaabhiraamam
gunaabhiraamam vachnaabhiraamam
vishvapranaamam kritbhaktkaamam
Shriramchandram Sat-tam namami.6
लीलाशरीरं रणरङ्गधीरं विश्वैकसारं रघुवंशहारम् ।
गम्भीरनादं जितसर्ववादं श्रीरामचन्द्रं सततं नमामि ॥७॥
लीलामात्र के लिए शरीर धारण करने वाले , रणस्थली में धीर , विश्वभर के एकमात्र सारभूत , रघुवंश में श्रेष्ठ , गंभीर वाणी बोलने वाले और समस्त वादों / तर्कों को जीतने वाले श्री रामचंद्र जी को मैं प्रतिक्षण नमस्कार करता हूँ ।।7।।
Leelashareeram rannranggdheeram
vishvaiksaaram raghuvansh haaram
gambheernaadam jitsarv vaadam
Shriramchandram Sat-tam namami.7
He is the one who wears the body for performing Leela ( sportive display / drama ) , is patient in the battlefield, is the only essence in the world, is superior to the Raghuvansh, speaks serious words and winner of all the arguments / logics. I constantly salute Shri Ramchandra ji . 7।।
खले कृतान्तं स्वजने विनीतं सामोपगीतं मनसा प्रतीतम् ।
रागेण गीतं वचनादतीतं श्रीरामचन्द्रं सततं नमामि ॥८॥
दुष्टजनों के लिए कठोर ह्रदय वाले , अपने भक्तों के प्रति विनम्र भाव वाले , सामवेद जिनका गुणगान करते हैं , मनमात्र के विषय , प्रेम से गान करने योग्य तथा वचनों से ग्रहण करने लायक श्री रामचंद्र जी को मैं सर्वदा नमस्कार करता हूँ ।।8।।

saamopgeetam mansaa prateetam
raagenn geetam vachnaadteetam

I always bow down to Shri Ramchandra ji, who has a strong heart for the wicked, who has a humble attitude towards his devotees, whom the Samaveda praises, who is worthy of singing with love, and worth receiving from words. 8।।
श्रीरामचन्द्रस्य वराष्टकं त्वां मयेरितं देवि मनोहरं ये ।
पठन्ति शृण्वन्ति गृणन्ति भक्त्या ते स्वीयकामान् प्रलभन्ति नित्यम् ॥९॥
हे देवी ! तुम्हारे प्रति कहे हुए श्री राम के इस सुन्दर अष्टक को जो मनुष्य भक्तिभाव से पढ़ेगा अथवा सुने – सुनाएगा वह अपनी अभिलिषित कामनाओं को नित्य प्राप्त करेगा ।।9।।
shriramchandrasya varashtakam
tvaam mayeritam devi manoharam ye
pathanti shranvanti grinnanti bhaktyaa
te sveeyakaamaan pralbhanti nityam.9
Oh My God! The person who reads or listens to this beautiful ashtak of Shri Ram spoken to you with devotion will always receive his desired wishes. 9।।
॥ इति शतकोटिरामचरितान्तर्गते श्रीमदानन्दरामायणे वाल्मीकीये सारकाण्डे युद्धचरिते द्वादशसर्गान्तर्गतं श्रीरामाष्टकं समाप्तम् ॥
श्री रामाष्टकं पढ़ने के लाभ
श्री राम के इस सुन्दर अष्टक को जो मनुष्य भक्तिभाव से पढ़ेगा अथवा सुने – सुनाएगा वह अपनी अभिलिषित कामनाओं को नित्य प्राप्त करेगा। उसकी सभी मनोकामनाएं पूरी होंगी ।
