This divine armour of Krishna which protects everything, Was given by Lord Vishnu to Brahma sitting on the lotus of the belly. Lord Brahma gave it to Shiva, and Shiva gave it to sage Durvasa, Sage Durvasa gave it to Yasoda in the house of Nandagopa. This rare armour occurs in Garga Samhita. This is supposed to have been recited by the Gopis when the baby Krishna killed the ogress called Puthana. It is mentioned that Sage Durvasa taught it to queen Yasoda, who might have taught it to the Gopis. The Krishna Kavach has the inquisitive ability to protect its reciter all the time. Shri Krishna Kavach provides protection from malefic effects of planets and all kinds of negative energies. It is believed that whoever recites this Shri Krishna kavach daily becomes extraordinarily attractive and remains blessed throughout life.

 

Shri Krishna Raksha Kavach 

 

Gopis Said –

Sri Krishnaste shirah paatu,

Vaikunthah kanth mev hi,

Shwet dweep patih karnau,

naasikaam yagya roop dhrik

 

गोप्य ऊचुः –

श्रीकृष्णस्ते शिरः पातु वैकुण्ठः कण्ठमेव हि ।
श्वेतद्वीपपतिः कर्णौ नासिकां यज्ञरूपधृक् ॥ १॥

 

Let Krishna protect the head, and let Vaikunth protect the neck. Let the lord of the white island protect the ears and he who has a form of Yajna protect the nose.

 

Nrisimho netra yugmam, cha

Jihwaam Dasharathatmajah,

Adharaa vavataam te tu

nar narayana rishi.2

 

नृसिंहो नेत्रयुग्मं च जिह्वां दशरथात्मजः ।
अधराववतां ते तु नर नारायणा ऋषि ॥ २॥

 

Let Narsimha protect the pair of eyes. Let the son of Dahsaratha protect the tongue. Let both lips be protected by sages Nara and Narayana.

 

Kapolau paatu te saakshaat

sanakadhyaa kala hareh,

Bhaalam te shwet vaaraaho,

naarado bhrulatevatu.3

 

कपोलौ पातु ते साक्षात्सनकाद्याः कला हरेः ।
भालं ते श्वेतवाराहो नारदो भ्रूलतेऽवतु ॥ ३॥

 

Let the real sages Sanaka and others protect cheeks. Let the white boar protect hair and let sage Narada protect the eyebrows.

 

Chibukam Kapilah paatu,

dattatreya uro vatu,

Skandhau dwavrishabhah

paatu karau matsyah prapaatu te.4

 

चिबुकं कपिलः पातु दत्तात्रेय उरोऽवतु ।
स्कन्धौ द्वावृषभः पातु करौ मत्स्यः प्रपातु ते ॥ ४॥

 

Let Lord Kapil protect the chin and Lord Dattatreya protect the chest. Let both shoulders be protected by the bull and let the hands be protected by the fish.

 

Dordandam satatam rakshet

prathuh prathul Vikramah,

Udaram kamathah paatu

naabhim dhanvantarishcha te. 5

 

दोर्दण्डं सततं रक्षेत्पृथुः पृथुलविक्रमः ।
उदरं कमठः पातु नाभिं धन्वन्तरिश्च ते ॥ ५॥

 

Let the arms be always be protected by the hero of big battles. Let the stomach be protected by tortoise and let the navel be protected by Dhanvanthri.

 

Mohini guhya desham cha

Katim te vaamanovatu,

Prishtham parashuraamasch

tavoru Baadnarayana.6

 

मोहिनी गुह्यदेशं च कटिं ते वामनोऽवतु ।
पृष्ठं परशुरामश्च तवोरू बादनारायणः ॥ ६॥

 

Let Mohini protect the private parts and waist be protected by Vamana. Let the back be protected by Parashurama and thighs by Baadanarayana.

 

Balo Jaanu dvayam paatu,

Janghe buddhah prapaatu te,

Paadau paatu sagulphau cha

kalkir dharm patih Prabhuh.7

 

बलो जानुद्वयं पातु जङ्घे बुद्धः प्रपातु ते ।
पादौ पातु सगुल्फौ च कल्किर्धर्मपतिः प्रभुः ॥ ७॥

 

Let both knees be protected by Balarama, and thighs be protected by Buddha. Let the feet and calves be protected by Kalki, the lord of Dharma.

 

Sarv raksha karam divyam

Shri Krishna kavacham param,

Idam bhagwataa dattam

Brahmane naabhi pankaje.8

 

सर्वरक्षाकरं दिव्यं श्रीकृष्णकवचं परम् ।
इदं भगवता दत्तं ब्रह्मणे नाभिपङ्कजे ॥ ८॥

Brahmanaa shambhave dattam,

Shambhur Durvasase dadau,

Durvasaah Shri Yashomatyai

praadaachhri nand mandire.9

दुर्वासाः श्रीयशोमत्यै प्रादाच्छ्रीनन्दमन्दिरे ॥ ९॥

 

Lord Brahma gave it to Shiva, and Shiva gave it to sage Durvasa. Sage Durvasa gave it to Yasodha in the house of Nandagopa.
